Does the EHX 95000 make friends with Midi?

Recently joined this forum and I’ve been getting great feedback from everyone…hoping I can fire this out and get some more.

I use the EHX 2880 in an analogue looping setup, and I am in the camp of enjoying having both a desktop and floor control option for the unit.

The EHX 95000 looks like it improves on the 2880/45k on a few different levels - but it also combines everything into one unit.

The manual seems to suggest that it is fully midi capable and you can control any number of the parameters through a controller - but I have yet to see anyone try. Being generally skeptical, I’m wondering if anyone has had any real-world experience with adding a midi controller to this unit? I’m thinking even just for RECORD/PLAY/TRACK functions…simple operation…keeping the main unit at arms length, and having something on the floor with your feet.

Thanks!

I never tried the 95000.
All midi things do work great on the 45000.
Tip (I never tried to understand where the problem comes from, I suspect the midi controller is wrong): all midi cc are one unit different from the controller to the looper (midi cc 45 on the looper = midi cc 46 on the controller, one unit difference for all midi CC’s!)

Thanks for the input! yeah I’m basically curious if I can set up a 2880/45K style foot controller for the 95K. With the 95K, they seem to have fixed that ‘problem’ of needing both the desk and controller unit of the 2880/45K to get the most flexibility - but I actually like that about them. So curious if anyone has tried that…I have yet to see anyone online claiming they have!

Just as an update - confirmed it would work fine. Saw EHX post on a video that “any midi controller would work”, and on their forums had them actually recommend to me directly the Morningstar MC6 MKII. So there you go!
