Does Overbridge work on Yosemite?

Hey guys,

I have the Analog Keys working on Yosemite but when I try and use Overbridge it says ‘Connected but incompatible OS’. It basically wants me to update my OS, and I can only download Sierra which doesn’t work with any of my plugin manufacturers!

Is there any way around this as I’m not going to update the OS for now. Is there an older download version of Overbridge around?

I’m pretty sure that when Overbridge is reporting an incompatible OS, it’s referring to the OS in your AK, not Mac OS. Generally Elektron release Overbridge updates along with firmware (OS) updates, and you need to use a matching set.

Which version of Overbridge are you trying to use ? And what firmware version do you have in your AK ?

Overbridge is working fine on my Yosemite machine, as far as I can tell (I haven’t used it much yet, having just bought my Analog Four a couple of weeks ago).

Hey Will, A massive massive thank you for the kindness and help! I think I’m first going to see if I can do it without the pain of upgrade otherwise I’ll download these! It’s so annoying I was just about to download El Cap a few weeks ago and they just changed it!

Thanks for your help - When I open the standalone version it says 1.21B - I’m assuming that’s referring to the software? How do I find out my machines OS do you know? Thanks! Dave

Actually, now that I think of it, I had to update the Analog Four firmware to use Overbridge.

1.21B : That’s the problem.

As William has said, you need to update your AK to OS 1.23C in order to use the latest Overbridge.

You do not need to update your Mac. Yosemite is just fine (as is El Capitan).
I strongly advise you not to mess about with those zip files William mentioned.

Yes, whenever a new version of Overbridge is released, it is supplied with updated versions of the device (A4/AK/AR) firmware.

Thanks Lenny, I’ve just managed to get the AK OS updated now, and everything’s working great - that was the problem.

Appreciate the help everyone, very happy now - especially in that I don’t need to update my Mac!!!

Hello

I have a problem with OB on OS Yosemite. The install stop before the end. But i can see VST and audio unit folder on finder. In ableton i only see audiounit and i can’t load it in a midi track. I would like to use OB for both my digitone and Analog rytm.

My os is Yosemite 10.10.5, i don’t use any hub and overbridge is well set up in elektron devices. i use ableton 9

Do you have any solutions ? Thanks
