Does OT can mute Digitakt tracks in mixer mode?

Hi !
everything is in the title, I would like to mute the DT audio tracks from the Octatrack mixer mode. (muting OT midi tracks 1-8 = muting DT audio tracks 1-8)

I found the CC 94 that seems to work only with the potentiometers of the OT (?), should I start by here ?

This having as a goal to reduce the technicality of my livesets, my brain being pretty slow.

Hi!
The mixer mode from Octatrack is only for Octatracks own tracks. So if you would sequence the Digitakt from the Octatrack, then yes, you can mute those.
If you sequence in Digitakt (i recommend this, because reasons…) you should mute on the digitakt too.

I figured that since I was able to mute for exemple my kick from midi track one with Cc94 there would be a way to mute it with my trigs but… That’s no problem, thanks again !

well you could use the eight tracks on the OT to mute all eight tracks on the DT then. each track just has a trig with CC94 set to the mute status you desire. you un-mute the midi track when you want that mute status on the DT to be active. but then you can’t go back to the old status without doing it in the DT, or changing to another pattern in the OT that has the desired pattern set and the midi track un-muted.

sooo… kinda just complicates things, right? I use mutes via midi for RYTM and have for the OT and DN too. but not for live usage. only if I want to micro-program the hell out of a track.
