i have ar, and a4 and m:c and i turn them off when not using them. i see no point in keeping them powered on, as they boot up really fast. are you asking for a specific reason?

I turn all my equipment off when not using it (digitakt included). Never understood people just leaving things on indefinitely.

guess they are not caring enough for the device and their environment (as a kid I was taught to not let the TV be in standby to save some power).

Always power them off of course and put the lid on.

Same. When I am not using it, I turn it off.

I even unplug all power cords …, our TV imploded during a storm when I was a kid.

I keep on everything, even my car. Gasoil is cheap these days, I want a faster climate change. :smile:

hah! yeah i guess my question was kinda stupid. I don’t really have a reason. just trying to figure out the consensus here.

Also:
How do you guys manage syncing the DT + DN? I don’t mean MIDI wise. I mean like… Project management. I have to save 2 projects, one for each machine, right?

Everyone should have a surge protector between sockets and sensitive electronic devices for that reason.

Way to go off-topic! Yes, the ‘Projects’ on the two instruments are separate entities and need to be saved individually.

It’s a well known fact that the more blinking lights and panels you have going at one the better your music will sound

I was always terrified of this happening when I was a kid. Used to run downstairs and unplug the aerial from the TV whenever I heard a thunderstorm coming.

thats something I’m still doing with my music equipment when I’m leaving the house for a while… better safe than sorry I guess

Well, I have another one. What if you turn off many machines at the same time with an appropriate plug? I’ve never had a problem but I wonder if there is a limit. I limited my gear anyway.
Also wonder if an inverter (onduleur in french) is usefull for harware in order to limit ground noise with guitar for instance…
