I don’t mind them at all. Way before I dabbled in production, I used to see the pictures of my hip hop production heroes posing with their weapon of choice. I used to lust for those MPC’s etc…

Some of those artists whole personas are crafted around the work that they do with a particular machine. I have no problem with Pete Rock doing promo shots on top of a mountain holding an SP-1200.

Out of curiosity, how do you feel today?
