DnB/Jungle Battle #5: Library Music

Thank you very much for your work. I trust you with what you have done. For me it would be great to know what you might have fixed/changed in my track. :grinning: I’m just curious and like to learn what I can mix/master differently next time.

Yes, this could be a nice bonus in the challenge.
Info about what it took to adjust your track.
But I don’t know if that would be workable for @alexleigh83 and it might make things more complicated in the battle.

I’ve not made big changes. I worked on the assumption that tracks sound the way their creators wanted and I don’t have the skill or experience / hubris to decide I know better than anyone else!

I am very happy to share my notes when I comment on the entries, perhaps after the judging so as not to skew the votes?

I won’t be sending anything this time, couldn’t find inspiration this time, but as always looking forward to hearing what all of you made and for next one by @KingDuppy.

Here is one free tool for future dnb challenges

It’s browser based so everyone can use it

I know from previous challenges we had an issue matching loudness, this can help

That’s a really good shout.

For reference the loudness range of the submissions this time was -17 to -6

I’ve processed them all to hit about -9 and I’ve also tried to get some similarity in the EQing.

Apologies in advance to those who’ve had their work massacred, I tried to be gentle

When I don’t recognise my track I will vote for it. :male_detective:

I’m sequencing them now, so the playlist should be up tonight!

Also, if anyone really doesn’t like how their track sounds in the playlist, you can DM me and I’ll replace it with the original file you sent me. No big deal.

Meanwhile, the winner of this month’s Battle will win… (ratcheted drumroll please…)
