In effort to improve my drumming I’ve been dabbling in the soundlock trig mode but it kinda creates more issues than it solves. I end up with a nice beat but invariably I want to tweak stuff and then have to do it all via Plocks.
Is there a way to bounce a plock directly to a track sound? Or do we first have to save it as a sound/preset then import it to a new track? Then you just copy paste that sound’s trigs to the new track ?
After all this faff I think I can acheive the ‘playability’ just using regular trig mode to play a beat into separate tracks.
Right cool! So then you have a new track with that plock sourced preset … but no trigs. So then if you copy paste the trigs from the track you made all the plocks on (via preset trig setting) you end up with a track sound but again a bunch of plocked trigs. Is there a way to just copy the trig info and end up with the right trig info + the track sound in the new track? Otherwise I think recording in beats from track mode into different tracks is the way to go.
No, but you can hold each rec trig and press play(clear) to remove all p-locks. This works when pressing more than one trig, so doesnt take too long to clear the locks.
I agree that a quick way to ‘bounce’ a trig’s p-locks to unlocked trig could be a handy feature, but it could only work on a single trig per track (what would happen when bouncing mulitple-pressed p-locked trigs. each with different settings? which would be the ‘master’?)
yeah I suppose for my purposes best to stick to track recording. perhaps preset trigs can be useful for demoing stuff then assign it to a track , to avoid all this resultant faff
