DIY - Very cheap provisory protective lid for your AH

You can make a provisory protective lid for your AH using just a piece of high density polyethylene foam. The piece must cover all the AH and it’s thickness must be a few millimetres more than the knobs, one inch will work.

So:

  • print a guide for the holes in a paper
  • use a hole cutter and the guide to make the holes on the foam, use scissor for the character knob because a hole cuter of that size will be pretty expensive.
  • glue a hard piece of cardboard on top using contact adhesive. Test the glue on another piece of foam first, some adhesives may melt your foam, if that is the case look for a softer glue.

At last you can use a strip of velcro to hold it firm to the unit. If you want to go pro, do sew an elastic between the two velcro parts, this will help to have a better attachment and will make the velcro stick better.

This is very cheap, light, and will do a good job protecting your unit when transporting it.

Any doubts just ask.
