as the title says, do someone know what the disadvantages are when I use just a mono cable on one of the main outs of the AR.

By mono cable I assume TR / Instrument cable…
You would definitely lose the noise isolation that TRS offers but that’s only useful if the cables are very long.

You mean to say you will use two mono cables for both the L and R of the main stereo out?
Or you mean to say only one cable for either the L or the R? In that case, you would lose out on the stereo image of the AR: the ability to pan channels, the stereo FX, ect.
Maybe some sound quality as well? I’m not sure about that…

I tried the mono only thing and it sounds not almost this good in stereo, like you said.
