Dim LCD on Analog Keys

I got a good deal on a blemished AK from an online dealer and the overall condition matches their description - just a few minor scratches.

Unfortunately, two issues have me concerned, neither of which was mentioned by the dealer. First, it has the warped case that has been discussed here. The left corner foot doesn’t sit level. Secondly, the lcd, while readable, isn’t nearly as bright as the one on my Analog Rytm - maybe 25% - 30% dimmer and very noticable. It definitely makes it harder to read. I can’t find a way to adjust brightness or contrast; if there’s a way, it’s not shown in the manual. The screens on the Analog series should all be the same, right? I’m concerned that the lcd is faulty and will end up going out.

I have not registered the AK warranty yet and can still return it, but I’m wondering if Elektron might be willing to replace it? Anyone here have any advice?

one stupid question …did you peel off the protection-plastic ?..sometimes its hard to notice that its still on…

Not a stupid question at all - it might still be there. I’m away right now but I’ll check when I get home. Could the plastic film really affect the brightness that much?

haha, ive had my analog keys and rytm for a couple of months and now i noticed that theres a plastic protection thing on the lcds

also i think that its a bit different displays on rytm and keys so it should be some difference on the brightness, i have it too
