Is it possible to use a single external MIDI source to play multiple tracks at once? Effectively making the unit 4 poly-timbral.

Works with layering and the internal sequencer. Have not tried with external.

Sure, go to Unison mode > Layer, and rotate (H) knob for choose multitimbral ( 1,2,3, or 4 tracks ) playing.
