Digitone output so hot!

Just got a used Digitone keys and I am not sure it is working properly. In order to get a good clean sound out of it I have the DK at 55% and my mixer input at 40%. Going much above these levels causes noise and clipping on mixer. This is a very different level usage compared to my other gear. For example I can use octatrack output at 75-100% with my mixer input at 75%.

Does anybody know if this is normal or can/should be addressed?

Pretty sure it’s normal. I appreciate it because I can get a nice signal into the Analog rytm’s external without extra gain but I get that in many cases it could be excessive.

My Digitone is the opposite—much quieter than other gear. I have to crank my mixer input knob to around 3 o’clock to get a good input.
