Hi all. Learning the DN and trying to understand how preset pattern A02 (“Dreams”) works. Track 1 has no trig locks (red), or trigless trig locks (yellow), and no sound is generated by this track when I play the pattern and mute the other tracks - until I unmute Track 3, which somehow triggers Track 1. Not seeing anything that indicates how these tracks are tied together. Thanks for any insights!
You can layer tracks/voices on digitone using the voice menu. Press the voice menu button and select which tracks you want to layer using the H-encoder.
from the manual:
LAYER Makes it possible to trig two or more tracks with the same note from the sequencer or the key-
board. For example, if you on track 1 set LAYER to affect track 2 then every note you play on track 1 also
plays on track 2, effectively playing two Sounds at the same time. Tracks that are layered to the active
track have filled squares in the parameter representation on the screen

Thanks for taking the time to break it down! I was a little confused since, looking at the layers section, Track 1 is set to affect Track 2 but now it makes sense why that wasn’t triggering anything the way Track 3 being attached to Track 1 does- no notes on the source track
