It’s now possible with the possibility of modifying all p locks of the track. It works with conditional trigs and fill
Here are the machines I would love to see happen :
- Mod machines : Enveloppe follower for the audio input and also an Enveloppe machine (DADSR)
- FX machine would allows to modulate and sequence Delay, Chorus, Reverb, Compressor and Overdrive
- Performance machine that could create macros to modulate parameters of other tracks
- Synth machines : VA FM machine to emulate the behavior of Analog FM (like the Dual VCO machine of the Analog Rytm) and Vocoder machine that use audio input as modulator.
The FX machines and Performance machines could be saved in a kit.
Wanted to push this suggestion up +1, that’s something I thought of as well and UI-wise it would make more sense.
Plus the flexibility and therefore usability would be increased.
So effectively we would have
V.AMNT
as one knob (F), which would change from 1 (unision off) to 2, 3, 4… (unison on).
DETUNE
would be the G knob, and
SPREAD
the H knob respectively.
Ah that is very cool! Thank you for the tip!
I’d love to see a way to “print” an arp into the step sequencer. So you play a few chords on a track and enable the arp, but then there’s that one note you’d like to change. This would be a great way to “commit” to an arp and then develop it further.
this way you could also parameter lock notes in the arp!
That would be so cool!
One of the things I love doing most to arps in a DAW, change a couple of notes so the arp doesn’t get repetitive after just a few cycles.
this is my biggest one right now probably . i find myself wanting to do that in every song i make on it.
Same here. Always tend to customize the arp a little bit. The arp feature is a great inspirational tool but at some point you want to commit and personalize it.
I thought about this request when shooting this video tutorial for FW 1.10 but forgot to mention it there.
It would be nice to have the chance parameter inside the arp.
Also some exotic speed like sine, triangle, square, exponential speed to have effects of fluctuent speed into an arp.
With the new Chord mode, the Digitone II is incredibly close to one of my favorite features on the Oxi One: the track harmonizer!
It would be great to have an option to set the track scale to “harmonize” to another track were a particular scale is selected, so that any notes in the “slave” track would be shifted to match the scale of the “master” track.
Strumming Chords
A way to “strum” chords with the chord mode. A setting to choose the offset time between notes, choose from up or down strums. Maybe the ARP could be used for this with tweaks if it had a “once” mode so that it just played the arp sequence once and then held.
Edit: you can kinda do this already with the arp, just disable all but the first 3-4 steps. Set the note length very high. Adjust speed to taste.
You could also use note edit per step to adjust microtiming, velocity and length per note but it’s tedious to program.
16 banks of sound presets instead of 8
If instead of 8 banks there were 16 banks with 256 presets in each, we would get 4096 slots for storing sound presets in Digitone 2 - that’s great!!!
Velocity Randomize
Not sure where this would land in UI (thinking of similar pop up menu like Digitakt Slice Machine Linear/Random Lock), but there is one component I see as needed - a way to define a randomization range. Here is my suggestion:
- On active track, press TRIG to be on ‘Trig Parameters Page’
- Press FUNC + B Encoder (Velocity) to open ‘Velocity Randomize Menu’
- Use A + B Encoders to set Velocity Range (A Encoder = Bottom Threshold, B Encoder = Top Threshold)
- Press YES to randomize velocity on all non-parameter locked TRIGS in active track
If Elektron finds a way to implement this type of submenu on the TRIG page, it could also be used to randomize LEN, PROB, etc.
This may have been mentioned but features from the OT midi arp.
Arp as LFO destination.
It would be great to be able to affect the range, length. Even better if you could affect the notes of a chord like you can on the OT and then constrain the offsets to the set scale.
This allows amazingly complex sequences to be generated that sounds musical.
That would be great !!!
Hello !
Adding a possibility to create custom tags for presets would be a cool feature, and possibly easy to implement.
What do you think ?
General DT/DN family request, and maybe this is already possible but-
Some ability to “rewind” .
Let’s say I have a pattern thats 8 pages with conditional trigs etc, and I am trying to audition a few different tracks 30 seconds into my sequence. It would be nice to be able to scroll back X steps/pages/seconds and try again, rather than have to go back to start.
I’d imagine this is harder to implement than it sounds as the sequencer would need to recompute the state of all prior trigs on all tracks up to the point you scroll back to.
Doesnt the page loop function (sort of) acheive this?
