Speaking of time sinks your reply made me remember one more thing which I just added…
Yeah I really dig this idea. So these default settings should follow the quick Func/Page to lengthen patterns per track or just per pattern?
I’m assuming both. It would definitely speed up my workflow for sure.
If I understand you, these only apply when the length is set to per-track, since the settings CHANGE and RESET aren’t available in per-pattern mode. (I corrected my post, I had the modes reversed.) Elektron would probably only be able to implement the different defaults for new projects, but if there is a way for them to know a pattern is “new” then they could implement it the first time you switch from per-pattern length to per-track…
Speaking of time sinks, I love that I can now isolate to one or a few pages of a sequence (say bars 7 and 8). However, it really messes up my head when all the other tracks still play what’s on their bars 1-2.
When building a full song structure and wanting to zoom in on a detail at the end of the pattern, I wish there was a way to isolate the entire pattern to a bar.
I just want to lock in on whichever bar I’m working on and have it play in the context of where the full pattern would be when reaching that bar naturally.
i don’t think the digitone has something to envy FM wise from the machinedrum to be honest
Ability to solo track(s) would be great. Beneficial while designing sounds or mixing. Could be also used as a performance tool
Multimode filter:
BANDPASS FILTER WIDTH
I would like to have an option so the macros for mod wheel, aftertouch, etc. reset their value to zero when switching patterns. I use them a lot when performing live but I have to remember to reset them with my MIDI controller
- Parameter/trig slides
- A way to p-lock ctrl + all (similar to Machinedrum)
- Adjust track level globally across bank
Do you guys think it would be at all possible for a future update to have it where every individual track could have its own compressor?
after Synth machine and filter machine, the FX page should be part of Modularity!
p-sliding into a p-locked ctrl-all would be sick
- Negative keyboard tracking
- Key tracking that can be assignable to parameters
- More distortion - perhaps newer algorithms with effects oscillators
- Performance mode
1)a metering system would be nice, or at lest add a master meter
2)bring back the Chord Function of Digitone 1
if you scroll down in the setup menu (press func + filter to access the setup menu), you’ll find an option for key tracking
you can assign it to up to four parameters
this can be done with the same process as above, but using negative modulation
this is all on page 37 of the manual
Make track volume unaffected by exiting perform mode
Create a personalisation setting to have track volumes unaffected when exiting perform mode. This would be especially handy when using an external midi controller for track volumes.

45?
Yup.
+1 just isn’t enough
