Hi all!

I tried to do following: I connected Midi out from DN 1 to DN2 (Midi in). And from SYSEX DUMP page Send (DN1) and Receive (DN2). Then choosed target pattern from both and tried to execute this. DN2 is “waiting data…” and DN1 is “sending…” but nothing more seems to happen.

Any idea why this does not work like I supposed it to do?

Oops I had it backwards, looks like it should take sysex. Hold on, looking for more info.

No, I had it correct, it only takes .dnsnd files, sysex transfer is not currently available, sorry.

@shigginpit you are right, @PLaine search other forum threads for these topics, sysex files cannot be transferred from one instrument to another

So how would you do then individual pattern(s) import from DN1 to DN2?

I can imagine one way:

  1. With Transfer upload whole project X containing those patterns from DN1
  2. Import X to DN2 to own location
  3. In DN2 open X and copy pattern
  4. Switch project to main target project and paste pattern

Little handy - at least if there are many patterns - but this way it’s possible. Is there any less laborous way?

And in any case it’s quite annoying that Elektron haven’t provided us a simple way to deal with patterns or other small units….
