I am not opposed to noise, glitches, and rawness! But this track felt like dialing it back a bit would benefit. Certainly not always true.
I agree with you. I was happy with the result but on a third listening it indeed seems it would benefit from a bit more effort ^^
like this tune a lot, wich DN2 machines involved? Thanks
I love this exactly the way it is
Hey guys, are there any project sharing groups on elektronauts? I am trying to figure out to my ears how to mix better within elektron boxes like my DN2. Guys like Substan achieve phenomenal mixes only within the box + some light mastering. Obv one could do paid coaching but would be cool to share and give feedback and do some remixes of eachother’s projects as a community…
The deeper pad is Swarmer, the bass that comes later too.
The second pad 1 octave up, that brings the kind of GY!BE vibe from 0:58, is FM Drum.
The third that comes at 2:53 is FM Tone.
The subtle kick is basic FM Drum and the church bell at 3:17 is FM Tone.
I also have a bit of noise from FM Drum but it’s essentially from the FX chain (GenLoss 2). And I remember messing up with the delay feedback at the end to get extra noise. The queue of the track is basically the delay doing its nonsense (I like to push it)
Glad you do, thank you.
This is 99.42% Digitone. There’s another sound artificially added.
It’s one 16 step pattern, and changed completely with probabilities and conditions. I’ve been having fun doing little exercises like this
The hihats are a single note arpeggiated with a 20% probability and super long gate length
already posted in the introducing digitone II thread and media but here we go
i love digitone II what a beast !
the proof that digitone I project can be imported 100% exactly the same ( patterns , soundpool, soundlocks etc …)and expand on the track count and polyphony :
Love all three of those. Especially the second one!
Some Friday Night Digitone II Techno:
Love these tracks. It made me want to make some more music this weekend
Agree completely. I always ask if posters ae wiling to share. I 've bought them too. Excellent learning tools. Substan has a Patreon and you can get his there.
A Jamuary sketch I’m quite pleased with, so cross-posting here.
Single FM Tone track on the DNII at 40 bpm, lots of trigless locks, and using page loop during the recording:
Thought I’d also put this here since it’s all DNII.
