Okay so my current workflow, i have digitone 2 midi out to digitakt 2 midi in and midi out of digitakt back to digitone, i have tracks 1-8 on digitone set to midi channels to control tracks 1-8 of digitakt…all working okay, I’m due to receive a keystep 37 tomorrow, how would i connect this so the keystep just controls the digitone and everything else stays the same, would i need a midi splitter box …or can the keystep simply go from keystep midi out to midi thru on digitone?
Any help would be great…thank you
keystep out > digitone in > digitone out > digitakt in > digitakt thru > keystep in
you actually might not want the last step (dt thru to keystep in) but it makes sense to clock sync the keystep (for the arp and its great sequencer)
set the sync dip switches on the keystep to midi

Okay, thanks I’ll give it a go tomorrow
So use the keystep as the main clock send?
depends. i’d choose the DN2 as the clock and start/stop sync. DT and KS follow
just make sure that the keystep midi thru is set to off (in midi control center)
Midi control centre, that’s the software for keystep…right…
