It sounds abnormal. Check the bug reports thread for any similar issues and report this to Elektron support, those would be my best suggestions.
Most DN2 freezes I’ve read about have to do with the arp, and sometimes when the device is slaved, so if you’re trying to load the project while it’s slaved to the MPC try it standalone as well.
Hopefully elektron knows more about what the problem is, but on your end if you’re already on the 1.10 firmware from March 20th then I’m not sure that there is much more you can do right now. Maybe someone else will have a better suggestion.
One other cause of freezes occurring seems to be when a track channel and the auto channel are set to the same midi channel number, so if that were the case I’m not sure you can do anything about that other than maybe reconfigure the original project then back it up and attempt to load it again.
I think that if you saved it as a new name, it’s like copying the project, so do you see the original name and the new file name in the project list? If so then I believe that’s normal.
it seems to be fine when it’s not slaved but my liveset should be synced so might gonna wait what elektron says.
and for the name, I deleted the original project so there’s no project with the orignal name, only the project with the new name exists. so it should be the new name when I want to save the project but it prints original name which I deleted.
Mine is 1.10A. Which is the latest.
I saw the slaved issue with this firmware but weirdly it’s fine when it’s digitone 2 project but not on digitone 1 project loaded on digitone 2.
So what I did was manually save all the presets to *.dnsnd and loaded individually.
it was totally fine since I haven’t sequenced nothing on Digitone and every note datas are coming from the main Sequencer. and just loading the sound was totally fine.
