Amazing little beast. The only thing i am not sure how i feel about are the presets.
Apart form them having crazy deviations in Loudness when auditioning
(Like the preset „Plankan“ if i remember correctly) have Ear drum blowing up potential. I really wish there was a dedicated Volume control for the Auditioning,
Or nice if there was a way to level the Volume of each Track in a project and then being able to swap-overwrite the preset with this new Fine Tuned version with some easy smart shortcut.
Anyhow. Back to the subject.
I usually dont use Presets, especially when they have too much character as i like to modify them so i like simple Base style sounds and take it from there.
So i wondered. I did a quick search but did not find what i want.
I know it might sound boring for some but i would gladly pay for a Preset Pack that has some emulations of classics like 808 drums and 909 drums (or other classic drum computers) or at least approximations and then some „simple , "Soft Wide Pad“ direction Pads, old school 80s juicy synth bass etc and more Non Unique sounds. I feel like the "Presets are trying a bit too hard“ for my taste.
Reason i would gladly pay is that i am a bit tired of creating basic things like my 200th attempt on a 808 style kickdrum just because it is not there.
If you knom anything in this direction i would appreciate a hint of the direction
(… and a new pack called “VintageVault” is almost complete with tons of classic pads, basses from the 70s and 80s (and CR-78, MiniPops 7 and more) - Edit: will be out in approx 2 weeks)
I swear i just bought it without even caring to preview it. I have no strength left in order to be cautious. Gonna hit the bunk now. Long day.
Am really excited to see whats in there tomorrow
Gosh! It’s just my approximation of the remaining time needed for work such as leveling the sounds so one’s ears don’t fall off (@Simpleuser wrote about that above), making the artwork, recording the demos properly, and so forth, all the while doing other things. And there are a few more sounds I want to add - I want my packs to feel complete
Hi, no, I only ever made the “Digitone Curses” and those are for Industrial and Experimental Stuff.
Your comment made me think if it were worth to make downgraded versions of some sounds or some such (would require to loan a OG Digitone and be a heck of work) … but …
DNII is just such a great investment into joy and wellbeing in my eyes. And, it can end up financially even, like it did for me (could sell Opsix and Argon 8M) … the upgrade is more than worth it
Here is a pack that has a lot of classic analog style synth sounds like basses, pads, leads and more. Many are analog inspired, but not exclusively. This is a double sound pack, pack 1 and 2. Although this was originally made for the Digitone 1, it works with the Digitone 2 as well.
Hey there.
These sound rather nice. Impressive skills you`ve got. Or maybe we simply have a similar taste, dunno.
I will keep them in mind.
I need to manage the expenses a bit cause i realised that
buying packs also accumulates respectable amounts of financial resources spending quickly.
If Packs were around 10 bucks i would not think that much but they are usually 20-25 i reckon which to me at least is not pocket change
TheGuacamoleXplosion made a Youtube video in which he recreated classic DX7 presets for the digitone.
the description also includes a link to download the presets (free)
