Pretty much what it says on the tin. When my Digitakt is set to “USB-MIDI Only” it will play and sequence my soft synths in Ableton just fine. However, when I switch it to “Overbridge mode” the MIDI data doesn’t make its way to the DAW. Seems odd that it would work in one mode, but not the other. In both situations I can see the MIDI track on the Digitakt light up whenever I hit a note. Overbridge audio works.
A few things to consider:
- This problem randomly started a few weeks ago. Prior to that I was able to play soft synths in Overbridge mode. Super random.
- Hardware synths don’t have this issue. I can sequence them fine either in OB mode or USB-MIDI only mode.
- My friend has had this exact problem since the day he got his Digitakt. I helped him set it up so maybe something I’m doing is the common denominator here.
- Running Digitakt 1.20A with 2.0.39.10 version of OB. Latest version of Ableton 10.
Has anyone else ever had this problem? I hate dumping “help!” questions here, but Elektron support has been ignoring my tickets : /
