Does any of you own both?
Which seems more friendly, flexible and enjoyable, sequencing-wise?
Thanks!
I love sequencers, theCrazy8 is way more fun for my workflow, also i dont get hard by all the added things you can do with a elektron sequencer. I still have my digitakt but sold the Crazy8 and ended up with a pyramid and a SE engine sequencer.
so you love the crazy8 but sold it. kept the digitakt but don’t like it, and use pyramid n engine instead.
Nice work
(I’m only joking around, I buy and sell stuff like there’s no tomorrow).
ps - I used to have an engine. sold it due to having too many sequencers but I miss it I must admit.
I had Engine, but somehow didn t click with it… maybe didn t like the workflow, or maybe I didn t put enough time in it…
How do u like the Pyramid compared to the other 3 sequencers: Se, Digi, C8?
I like it a lot, but I use them differently. My favorite is the Engine, the TB sequence style is amazing and it has 8 x cv/gate out. Then i rerecord it into the Pyramid which have a way better file management system and then i might add Euclidian sequencing and midi effects in the pyramid.
I dont use the digi for sequencing at all, for me its a really good drum/sampler.
If I had to chose just one it would be the Engine.
Also im not a keyboard player, I just add notes and have happy accidents. ![]()
How do you feel about Deluge as sequencer guys? Anyone owns one and Crazy8?
Maybe a little off topic, but I got the DT, had a Pyramid and a Kilpatrick Carbon. Sold the Pyramid and the Carbon. Now I use a Midibox Seq V4+ which is really the best HW Sequencer I ever used and most probably the best money can buy. It is also heavily supported by the devs!
My 2 cents…
yea the midi box v4 looks mint
Hard to find… how wou u compare it to Digitakt seq?
Thanks!
You cant compare them directly, but I like them both. The Midibox has some more possibilities, maybe have a look at the manual http://www.ucapps.de/midibox_seq_manual_m.html or the Tutorium wiki which is linked on that page somewhere.
Meanwhile I prefer the Midibox.
Best,
