Digitakt to drive digitone issues

Good evening everyone.

I am having an issue with my digitakt and digitone synchronization.

My DT is the master.

I have it set to send out clock, and the DN to receive.

When using pre-count to record on the DT, the DN begins playing as soon as pre-count begins.

I’d like to have the DN actually start on beat one, once the DT actually begins recording.

Is there a workaround, or correct way to approach this?

Does it matter if i’m not actually recording on the DN?

I believe I have it set to preroll on the DN.

I will try when I get to the studio tonight.

I’m not too sure I dont use it in my workflow but you could always set up a blank pattern in DN set to proper length, and just change to the pattern you want it to be on for beat one before it ends. You’d want to make sure your settings are correct but…
