just wanted to share my findings… when the DT or other modern boxes are connected tmvia USB to a mobile phone, the phone can record the lineout. This even works two way!
May be common knowledge, but just blew me away.

That’s the tip of the iceberg.
If it’s an iPhone, you can hook it up to an AUv3 host (AUM, Loopy Pro, etc) and run the Digitakt’s output via affordable effects plugins.
Have the DT sequence soft-synths via its MIDI tracks.
Experiment with alternative sequencers running on the phone.
Use the phone as a MIDI control surface (XY pad, macros), have it apply LFOs to MIDI parameters, etc.
