I saw a post similar to this, but I only want to use my Digitakt as my drum machine rather than both sequencers in tandem. I’d rather the Pyramid do all the sequencing to not complicate things. I’ve set pads 1-8 on the Squarp to correspond with first 8 midi channels on the Digitakt. I’m also using an Arturia Keystep, so I hear the drums on the controller, but not the Squarp in live mode. If I press “track + pad 1” I’ll hear the kick from the Digitakt on my Arturia Keystep and track 2 I hear the snare. But is there a way for me to press pad 1 and hear the Kick + pad 2 (snare) so I can record drums in live mode? Basically exactly like how you would record live drums on the Digitakt? Or should I have configured the 1-8 channels differently?
in step mode or octave mode, go as low as you can with the notes and from there it will be kick snare etc.

oh wow, duh! So that worked, thank you. However, now when I play pad 1 on my Pyramid it corresponds to 1 on my Digitakt, but when I shift the octave on the Pyramid to hear 2 - 8, Pad 2 now corresponds to 3 on my Digitakt? Pad 3 is 5? And Pad 4 is 7?? Is this a bug or am I missing something again?

I figured it out. The top squares correspond to the even pad numbers.

it’s k I had the same issue back when I got my squarp about a year or so ago, the squarp is fucking awesome, it taught me so many things, its such an open ended device.
