Digitakt | retrigger VEL - using positive values

hello,

i just experimented with retrigger.

when i set retrig´s parameter VEL to positive values it doesnt increase the velocity (over the course of len)…
anything i overlooked or misunderstood. thanks.

Maybe is your initial velocity value already rather high.

thanks carlmikael, thats it!

btw. i also wonder if its possible to gradually increase/decrease the distance between the retriggers to create something like a bouncing ball behaviour…

Yeah it’s relatively easy to do this. Just edit the retrig speed and length to plocked steps as needed.

you mean by increasing the retrig rate over multiple steps? i guess it wont sound like a seamless transition of the rate … anyway, will try it. thanks

I do it with hi hats all the time And get a seamless transition across the entire sequence using different retrig settings on parameter locked steps. You’ve just gotta experiment with the retrig speeds and lengths

cool, will look at it in detail.

i gave it a try. but didnt figured it out.

are you sure we are talking about the same thing?

to be precise: i want to create a series of triggers with decreasing distances over time.
for example: 6 triggers via retrigger @ 1000, 700, 500, 200, 100, 50 msec.
NOT 1000, 1000 1000, 200, 200, 50, 50 msec or the like.

could you please elaborate how exactly you did it? thanks

Hi have you figure out how to do this ?

@jefones gave the answer above.

Is there a way to lock the pads so they auto re-trigger when you press them?
It’s a cool option for playing live or coming up with ideas in the studio.
I briefly had the Model:Samples and it has this feature, which I liked alot.
I ended up upgrading to the DT recently so I’m curious if this is possible.
Figured if their entry level item has it the next step up would too.
But maybe not. Any thoughts are appreciated.
