Digitakt Recorder Optimum Input Volume

Hi Folks,

I recently found it much more convenient to record Samples (Kicks, Hats, Hits etc.) directly into Digitakt via its own Recorder instead of using Elektron Transfer.
Any recommendations on how hot (or not) to record the input to get a good resulting sample volume inside Digitakt. I think there is some normalizing going on when recording into Digitakt but I‘m not sure.

I generally adjust the volume until the meter is taking up a decent portion of its range but not hitting the top. Like you said it normalizes everything after sampling so there is a lot of wiggle room. Not to mention the amount of volume and level controls you have access to can smooth over any irregularities.
