I’m not very experienced in midi syncing gear, and I’m wondering whether this setup is possible?
My Boss RC-505 sends midi clock -> Digitakt over usb, and I use an RK-002 cable to play the digitakt as a poly with my midi keyboard.
Any insight is helpful, my midi keyboard also has a merge option, could it pass on the midi clock (and note data?) from the Boss to the Digitakt?
The keyboard has midi in and both midi/usb out, so if other configurations could make this work, I’m all ears.
Sure, I can’t see why not. Masterclock sent from Boss to your midi keyboard, where it’s merged with the notes (keyboard slaves the masterclock obviously as is the Digitakt) and send it to the Digitakt. Or is the RK-002 bothering you ? I have one here, but not tested it with the Digitakt as slave, but I guess this shouldn’t be a problem.
So the RK-002 could serve both functions? I’m considering the Digitakt as a sampler, and if knew I could also add it to my looping setup as a polysynth that would be the decider for my purchase!
Well, I should check it out myself to be sure. I still think it should be ok, since I will connect the RK-002 via my midi merger, so basically this is the same principle (except that you use your keyboard as merger). Won’t have the time today to test unfortunately. Other prios
