Is it possible to somehow take samples and pattern sequences or projects from a regular Digitakt and put them in a Digitakt ii with out having to do everything over? I am using a Digitakt for live performances and may want to get my show projects into a Digitakt ii.

I mean, through the transfer app you can transfer old dt1 prohects to your dt2, but you might have to change some things to have the same sound.
It all depends on your workflow. What I found weird is that on the DT1 you can route only the reverb after or before the compressor, on the DT2 it will not be taken into consideration when your project gets imported, and on the DT2 you can only route the FX meaning the 3 effects before or after the compressor.
Also if you played with fill amd no-fill and the probability you might need to change a few things, but I promise you upgrading to the DT2 is suuuuuuch a huge bump, it will level up your music making skills and pallette (at leadt it did for me).
One last thing, sadly there is no global settings on the DT2 (yet…?), so take that into consideration aswell.
