Digitakt Overbridge help for a noob

Hey yall!

Recently picked up a Digitakt and a Novation Bass Station as my first foray back into beat making after about a 5 year hiatus.

I’ve had a lot of fun making some loops in the digi and getting used to the work flow. Now I’m ready to try and record a little something and I’m having some troubles. In ableton I can’t get Overbridge VST to show up, I uninstalled and reinstalled and have quintuple checked that it’s in the correct folder and rescanned multiple times. I downloaded Reaper to see if it was an issue with the Overbridge software and Reaper instantly recognized it. I had some issues with Reaper having a massive amount of latency that may or may not be fixable. But ideally I am very familiar with ableton and would prefer to get this working that way.

Ableton does however recognize the digitakt as an audio interface, and I can record that way, but having the built in transport sync would be really helpful.

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks!

I may be remembering incorrectly, but I had the same issue. Just to make sure, your saying that the digitone .dll file is in your VST directory, yes? I think i made the mistake of moving the
“elektronoverbridge_DTx64.dll” into the vst folder and it wouldn’t work… I had to use the other .dll file.

Will try this first thing tomorrow and let you know how it goes, thanks for the quick reply!

Alright, so I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling again. All the Elektron overbridge files appear to be in the correct folders, and i’ve rescanned multiple times. I can get the standalone digitakt overbridge app to work, as well as the overbridge control panel but ableton won’t recognize the vst.

Same problem with me :frowning:
