I’m looking to buy my first bit of kit in years as I want make some ambient music to help me relax. I see there is the Digitakt and Digitone and I’ve yet to decide on which one to get first.
I want to make sure I can also record somehow and have some control to save in a sort of song mode rather than live record. What would I need for this (is it even possible)?
I see Overbridge can run on a computer and act as an interface for DT to DN and I think then allow a DAW to manage these devices and structure some tunes?
I think I prefer a DAW-less setup but I’m wondering if a DAW can save my projects and export to MP3.
Anyway any advise would be great as I’ve not done this since having a groovebox about 15-20 years ago. I only have the budget for a DN or DT at the moment, but this will allow me to concentrate on it before getting the other. I see the Ockatrack MK1 has come down, but hear these are hard to look for some new to this world.
