I’m at a loss as to why this doesn’t work. At 1:40 on this video, Cenk goes into step record mode, holds down a step, plays a chord on his synth, and voila, that chord is recorded on the step.
If I do this with my Minilogue XD, nothing happens, just the base note which the note is set to by default (C5) is triggered.
I’m able to record chords in live recording mode, either via chromatic mode or via the Minilogue XD.
Such a head scratcher. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
External MIDI needs to be incoming on the DT’s Auto Channel, not the Track channel
@avantronica That worked thank you! But now I’m noticing a new glitch: the DT refuses to record the time I hold down the note.

adjusting length via the DT affects the MXDs portamento setting, I mean… That is so unexpected.
I use an XD as well and I haven’t had a problem so far as I know with note length. Though the midi ‘auto in’ setting does help with midi in from the XD I do know you need the midi track your recording to be set to the same channel as the midi input of the XD. Maybe your getting input but it’s not recording length b/c it’s not sending or recieving on the same channel?
It’s kind of a weird loop using the XD to record the notes for the XD.
