New user to Elektron, and Digitakt. I want to run various iPad apps directly to/through the DT for modulation, such as MOdstep etc. How do I do that without going through the recording sample process? I want the live manipulation of the sound coming from iPad to the DT… The user manual doesn’t clarify it for me. :-////
whit the DT you cannot manipulate the sound coming from the ipad . What you can do , is assigning the miditracks of the DT to your software synthesizer on the ipad and sequence them.

You need a class compliant audio interface for that. Connect it to the ipad via usb camera connection kit and connect the dt audio outputs to the inputs of the interface.
Whitout an interface you could do it the other way around and connect the headphone output of the ipad to the input of the dt and hear the ipad-audio by setting the sampling monitoring on the DT to ON.
But that is a way less ‚professional‘ and way less flexible solution of the two mentioned. you can get an audio interface for 30 bucks nowadays.
