Digitakt instant pattern change w/ Blokas MidiHub

Ever since I got my Digitakt I’ve been frustrated by not being able to switch patterns instantly from my main sequencer, the Squarp Pyramid…

…enter the Blokas MidiHub…

…with a few simple “pipes” (in MidiHub lingo) I can now not only switch patterns instantly on the Digitakt when I switch patterns on the Pyrmid, I can also controll mutes and levels on all 8 tracks from one single midi channel!

The “trick” to change patterns instatnly involves transforming a midi note to a midi start messages and sending that note right after a program change message. I was afraid that it would cause a noticebale delay in the timing of the digitakt pattern, but to my ears the timing/sync is still very tight.

I use the same “trick” with my Machindrum and Digitone as well.

I posted this trick years ago with the BomeBox.
It only seemed to work directly on the DIN input of the Digitakt, USB-MIDI required a small delay between the 2 messages.
Good to hear this can also be done with the MidiHub.

How do you get the mute states from the Digitakt?
Or do you just unmute everything and sequence the mutes with the Pyramid?
