Digitakt II Tips & Tricks

From grid recording mode:

FUNC followed by TRK does kick you out of grid recording mode (sounds like @1zerozerozero1 's experience)

TRK followed by FUNC temporarily goes to mute mode, and back to grid recording mode on release (as @janka found)

Yes agree on this and I know - it’s not what I was referring to.

I meant not temp/momentary mute mode but actual mode mode - it kicks you out of grid recording and I’m finding this odd and jarring.

On the DT 1 you stayed in whichever recording mode you were in when you went in and out of mute mode. It seems like an extra step and counterintuitive to have to use REC to go back to where you were rather than pressing mute again - breaks UI logic.

Personally I mainly use/used the full mode mute quickly rather than holding the momentary one. I don’t get this change - seems like a backwards, er, step. Seems to me like something that should be optional in the personalisation settings.

anyone can tell if there’s any way to see which preset is loaded into a track?

I’m pretty sure the answer is no, there is no relationship between preset and track.

  • you may not have started with a preset
  • Even if you did start with a preset, you get a copy on a track (which you can then modify) and not a link to a preset.

But, if you p-lock a preset to a trig, that name will display when you hold down the trig.

Also, if you hold down SRC you should see the name of the sample file.
