Not sure if it was already there…
When saving a kit, the note value for midi tracks should bei saved.
Midi LFO destination for TRIG page. Velocity and length would already be great, note with a scale (someone elses idea) amazing.

That’s because some other manufacturers are doing the handling of MIDI Clock wrong. The intention behind MIDI Clock is that it is constantly being sent. Even when the sequencer is stopped. Technically, MIDI Clock has nothing to do with starting or stopping sequencers. The MIDI transport commands Start/Stop/Continue are responsible for this.
There is a reason why Elektron devices allow you to switch both the clock and the transport commands on and off separately. If your other devices react incorrectly because of a constantly incoming MIDI clock, you need to complain to their manufacturers. Elektron does everything right when it comes to MIDI clock.
By the way, you can read all about this in the official MIDI specification of the MMA.
Thanks for your answer, I understand, I respect
Électron job, I’m neebie to elektron but already elektron fan
More midi cc knobs and LFOs on midi tracks please. Having fuller control of external synths from inside Digitakt would be really nice
I think the Digitakt II needs clippers. I’m stating this again because my previous comment was hidden/deleted.
I’d love an extra eq band or 2.
Why not just use a second midi track on the same midi channel? Then you immediately have 32 CCs at your fingertips.
Good idea but I want moar knobs! I want all the midi cc and as many LFO’s as possible
On a serious note I usually have like 4 spare tracks on DT2 for midi and at least 3 of them are in use to control other stuff, so it would help having the extra knobs all on one track
I second the clippers!!! This in my opinion would make it an exceptionally professional instrument.
Seconding the midi note save on each track! That would be great to control Ableton drum kits with the Digitakt.
I’m working in Song mode properly for the first time and am experiencing a lot of pain accidentally deleting rows because my muscle memory is so used to func + up being a way to quickly navigate rows.
Begging Elektron to change or offer an alternate way to delete rows, maybe hold Record button and press up/down to add/delete rows.
FX - BLOCKS
It would be amazing if unused tracks on the Digitakt 2 could be repurposed as dedicated FX tracks or summing/group tracks. Imagine turning any unused track into a flexible FX block!
Once a track is switched to FX mode, you could choose from a variety of effect types—delays, reverbs, distortion, modulation, compressors, multieffects, and more.
Each FX track should then be selectable as a destination in the routing options of other tracks. This way, I could send one or multiple tracks into an FX block—essentially creating send/return chains.
Even better: allow routing from one FX block into another FX block! That would be incredibly powerful. Of course, we’d need parameter locks (P-Locks) for many FX parameters too, to stay in line with Elektron’s strength in automation and performance.
The Digitakt 2 is already an outstanding machine—no question. But I often don’t use all 16 tracks and would absolutely love to repurpose some for deeper, more customizable effects. Think: 2–3 compressors, a couple of new reverbs and delays, some flexible multiband distortion, an 8-band EQ, and lots of modulation effects. Maybe even offer a few “multi-FX pedalboard” type blocks, inspired by guitar rigs?
Please give us more flexibility to harness the full CPU potential.
Give us FX-BLOCKS !
totally second improved fx and using channels as fx blocks would be great!
Chord mode for Digitakt 2, so i don’t have to buy Digitone
Or even just a bump from 4 note midi polyphony to 6 or even 8! Would be amazing!
When Overbridge for iPad lands, you could pair up your DTII with an iPad, put a load of AUv3 plugins on individual tracks or group them into busses and affect those, then use spare DT tracks to automate CC for the plugins, etc. before routing the audio back into the DTII.
I’m planning to do just this for live stuff.
I like you’re idea of more flexibility for FX and stuff on device, but I’m actually more inclined to do the iPad route as you can leverage more processing power and have a much wider array of fx available including well known stuff like Eventide Blackhole.
FLTR/FX/MOD+L/R to Bypass/Engage those pages.
I’d love to have this with MOD in particular but a quick way to non destructively bypass each of thos pages would be a great quality of life improvement and fun for creative abuse.
extra points if they can do it on all/most of the current machines.
Volume on separate tracks in mixer control together with one trimmer… example FNC + Volume… hmm ?
More randomize options! Inspired by the polyend ‘nuke’ and ‘duke nuke’ functionalities. Those are super useful and effective, a curated set of parameters that are randomized.
Expert version: Random pools: let me add params to a list. Then let me randomize everything in that list. Maybe even within relative ranges?
What filters did you have in mind?
