Digitakt II : 8-voice polyphony with stock modules from VCVRack

Greetings!

i think i’ve managed to solve a basic problem on the digitakt. That’s polyphony for me. Other solutions like max/msp or polynator haven’t worked so far…

I haven’t used the DT2 neither vcvrack a lot, am an about 2-year OT user and don’t consider my self an expert. But i think it’s working a 100% for me.

please test if you find the time

DT2 setup : channels 1-8 audio with identical preset but listening to channels 2-9
channel 9 is a midi machine sending 1 channel of midi (ch1) to VCV
i am playing on 9 with the DT2 keyboard (love the scales!!)
VCV<>DT2 usb midi
audio on DT2

Looks interesting. I’ll give it a try when I get the chance.

wonder if this same design/setup would work in Cardinal FX

i don’t see why not, although to be honest, i’ve never heard about it, until now. Thanks for mentioning

can’t / won’t install. macos says “release not signed”. tried to get of github. I think there are releases which are ok on github, but i don’t like getting warnings.

It would be nice to have though, because of the plugin format. I can’t afford the VCVRack+

hmm, weird. yeah to be honest I don’t use it a ton and I downloaded it a long time ago but don’t remember getting any warnings, I’m also on a mac.

i’ve added polyphonic aftertouch. with help from ableton live.
