I don’t own a digitakt and are not really interested in this machine. Nevertheless I like the straightforward way of your tutorial. I don’t really dig the whole “let’s make super different shots angles and some hip video editing”. Refreshing to look at something back to basic. Please keep it like that!
Thanks. It was a beautiful sight to see 4 tracks controlled from one midi channel. I found the explanation of port config the most helpful.
Really nice! I was not aware about this midi setup. I’d love to see if you have other creative ways in which to use that midi setup. Perhaps a companion video?
Danke
no sarcasm here
My brother tells me I should make tutorials on YouTube for money. Worth it or nah?
You’ll never know until you try … but I think it’s a bit more work then most people think. but hey what do I know, I am just an observer
im thinking “nah” - the 6th graders i teach music to scratches that itch. pays ok also
Money shouldn’t be the reason, but as it seems you (hopefully) like teaching. I wouldn’t skip a hi quality tutorial but as there are some quite good ones already there should be something special to it. You might get more attention and appreciation from synth heads than from your average 6th graders, though.
no doubt. they can be a pain in the ass. but they ask fun questions like “what’s a harpsichord?” or “what does a conductor do?”
“The bad news is that Harpsichords are really expensive so you’ll probably never have one to practice on- the GOOD news is there are things called DAWS so you can still play with a harpsichord despite never owning one-
“Tell you what, class- we’re going to skip right over learning to play the recorder and we’re going to jump straight to electronic music production…”
lol
i already have them doing things in garageband. was looking at maybe buying a set of pocket operators for next year…
If money is what you’re after, there are certainly better and easier ways to make it than YouTube. If you want to go big there, you have to grind on a daily basis for years. And even then there is no guarantee you’ll be able to live from it. But if you love teaching and making videos, better start today than tomorrow.
Thanks for your video, I appreciate the practical tips.
@DacciPucci been really digging your tutorials lately - thanks for making them!
Thanks for your support, appreciated!
hey, man. i know this post is pretty old but i stumbled across your video yesterday and was really impressed at how simple and easy it was to understand. i just have one question that’s a little random. do you know where to find layer samples?
