Digitakt class compliant connect to a recorder via USB

Hello all,

I am in the market for a sound devices mixpre 6. This recorder can accept USB class compliant devices as the source for recording. The question is if the digitakt would present itself as a class compliant source when connected to such a hardware recorder?

Any thoughts welcome!

I don’t see anything which says the Mixpre 6 can act as a USB Host for class-compliant audio devices. I doubt it is supported.

It would need to be a host. You’d probably have better luck getting an app that lets you use your phone (or tablet) as a recorder for class compliant audio, the results will probably be the same.

The interface will be app based which is frustrating to most, but unless there’s a practical need for a hardware recorder this will offer the most utility and connectivity at the lowest cost.

Thanks for the responses! I guess I could contact sound devices and ask them if they can add a plugin which transforms the mic pre 6 to a host… thanks guys!
