I just started using my digitakt, and im getting used to the controls etc and i have a question something i cant seem to find in any videos. im trying to use the the analog notes and stabs and pads as like free form note? that i can play as keys on all the 16 trigs is this possible?
similar to in say fl studio, when u play the keys on a keyboard and record the sounds just go right in? that might not make sense but would appreciate some help or feedback,

Are you asking if there’s a way to use the trigs as a keyboard to play the samples on a track chromatically?
From the manual:
8.5.1 CHROMATIC MODE
Press [FUNC] + [TRK] to enter CHROMATIC mode. In this mode, you can play the sound of the active
audio track (or send MIDI notes if you have an active MIDI track) chromatically. The [TRIG] keys will light
up in a pattern that resembles an octave of a piano keyboard layout.
Or do you mean you have a MIDI keyboard connected and you want to record the notes you play from the keyboard into the DT?
If so, then I believe you need to set your MIDI keyboard to send notes to the auto-channel. Then you also need to be on the track you want to control/play.
sorry for the mix up, yes its chromatic mode that im looking for haha i think i figured it out now it wouldnt let me play them as keys at first when i did it and got confused, appreciate the help.
does anyone know how to put new banks into the digitakt? i had seen on some videos that others had a 909 bank? and im not sure if its free to get and put into the digitakt or if i have to pay for these, would love some info.
