Hi all.
I’ve got a mBrane eurorack module, which is a clone of MI Yarns. And I’m stumped - it doesn’t seem to recognise MIDI coming from the DT (mk1).
The mBrane definitely works - I can send MIDI to if from my soundcard, and from a controller synth. So I know the cable works too (it’s a MIDI>TRS cable). I can even get MIDI to it from the DT if I go the long way round - from the DT, into Logic, out to the Soundcard, and then from there into the mBrane (!).
But if I just plug the DT straight into the mBrane - no dice. It doesn’t acknowledge the MIDI notes at all. I’ve tried it with a TRS A>B converter, which makes no difference (the mBrane can accept either type anyway).
Has anyone come across this before? Any ideas? I’m stumped, and really don’t know what else to try, short of buying another cable on the off chance?
The DT is set to send MIDI to the MIDI, the SRC channels are set up correctly. At least I’m fairly sure they are…
