Digitakt Alongside Analogue Rytm

I’ve Had the Analogue Rytm MKII Since it came out and I love it. At the moment, however, I’m faced with a bit of a dilemma. Would the Digitakt be a good purchase for a live setup that includes the Rytm or would it be redundant?

Live is currently going well, playing out with a friend who uses an Octatrack and a couple of synths and me using the Rytm and a couple of synths.

I want a separate unit for intermittent samples and perhaps even for top loops for solo gigs.

Would a Digitakt be a good solution for this or just a bit redundant alongside the rytms sample capability for solo and alongside the power of the octatrack duo.

That answers it, no? If a separate sampler unit brings you the extra things you need then go for it.

Yeah I’d say it would work. You could also look at the smaller Model Samples too.

As an alternative (as someone who had been in this situation before - I looked at the DT, M:S, and OTmk2 too), consider 1010music’s Blackbox. Cheaper than the DT, doesn’t have the sampler, but arguably quite powerful in its own right.
