So, I just traded my Digitone 2 for a Digitakt 2, 0 error when I used the reboot test mode.
I began to transfer my 17go of samples into it, it worked for like 700 MO (approx 45 min) then I saw on elektron transfer it saying “device failed with operation”, no matter the sample, the USB port, the USB cable, etc.
It drives me crazy, I saw it happened to few people but it was on earlier firmware, my dt2 is on 1.10A and my elektron transfer is working and detecting it.
It’s already pretty long to transfer 17go into the digitakt to not it being a mysterious buggy headache on top of it .
So I just created a new folder and began to import again and it worked, but I am wondering, are we forced to have sample in folders limited in size? I have all sample from Mars sample hits in one big folder and I don’t want to do like 34 folders to have them all inside. Am I missing something?
Edit : so for anybody wondering the maximum folder elements size is 1998 elements no matter their individual size. So my (painfull) workaround is to create multiple folders and manually select 1998 of consecutive samples, drag and drop, etc, till I reach the 54 000 elements of my Samples from Mars folder
I made it, took maybe 10h of transfer and 2h of manually selecting 1998 samples. I made it like that because the samples are already in alphabetical order and I prefer it that way instead of kits, already have a DT1 since 6 months, and used a DN2 for 2 months so I have a little grasp on the new features and the digitakt workflow, very happy with this choice so far
