Hi, yesterday i was playing with my digitakt 2 and everything was normal, i turned it off normally and today i started it and surprise! Everything is gone, like a total reboot, even the presets disappeared without trace, how can something like that happened, i abandoned the octatrack because i wss tired of losing everything once in a while, is it the same with the digitakt? What a shame and how infuriating to lose a month of work. Does anyone have had the same experience?
No. Nor with Octatrack.
Did you change / save project ?
Did you use orginal Preset Project ? (Locked)
Sorry for your loss. Have you tried running the device self tests.?
Maybe you have to wait for all samples to be loaded. My dt2 didn’t contain the audio samples I recorded into it. It took 1 minute, then everything was there
Hi, no, I didn’t do anything, i saved the project probably 10 min before turning it off, and yeah, it was the original project.
Not yet, but i will try! Thanks!
I waited for a bit but nothing came, not even the steps or anything, and not even the assigned samples.
So you are saying you saved the preset project?, did you save it to a new slot?, as if not it probably cant be saved as it is locked.
Can be something like that, the weird thing is that all the initial patterns also disappeared and all the steps.
I have had similar problems several times and I also can’t find a solution.
After saving the project and rebooting the synthesizer, I get such problems
1/sometimes the sound of the first Kick trigger just becomes very quiet and I can’t change its volume settings - it’s still quiet. There are no problems with velocity. There are no problems with the compressor. Sometimes this problem disappears after rebooting - sometimes it doesn’t.
2/ More and more often I notice that the triggers change places after rebooting the synthesizer. I add a sample to trigger number 3 (can see on my photo)
, and it shows that it is installed on trigger number 103/ sometimes all the drawings just disappear, but the sounds of samples remain in place.
I have a new firmware and still these problems often interfere with normal operation
I will be glad to receive any suggestions on how to fix this.
Did you use the original power adapter or something other like a battery?
Did you turn it on and off and on again within a short time?
Did you actually load the project manually or just used the „autosave“ the Digitakt loaded by itself on startup?
I had an issue like this with my Syntakt and that seemed to be the solution.
Loading a sample into slotA10 doesn’t doesn’t mean it’s on button 10. There’s not direct link to slot and pad … it’s entirely up to you how the sample it assigned and triggered.
Your image is showing a sample loaded into sample slot A10 .
But … it shouldn’t move around between saving / reloading.
