Digitakt 2, low midi notes trigger wrong tracks

I have keystep pro and if it sends midi note below c0, lets say B-1, it triggers a drum on wrong track. Each note below c0 triggers a different track. ??? I used a midi debugger to make sure keystep was not transmitting on wrong channel.

Oh, and I have all tracks on OneShot, not midi. I am using midi thru to trigger microfreak on channel 5. Freak always gets triggered correctly, but if note is below c0, the digitakt tracks get triggered too…

It’s a behavior described in the manual. C0-G0 trigger the tracks in order regardless of active track.

Notes 12 and above trigger the active track chromatically.

Yep, this is a feature not a bug, this lets you play all tracks with a pad controller set to the lowest octave. I think you can turn this off by selecting OFF for all tracks in Midi Config > Channels.
