Digitakt 1 + Nord 3p Controllers Issue

I have been pairing these two together and using all six channels of the 3P to do some fun sound design. The only issue I have is whenever the Digitakt stops / restarts, it reverts the controllers to the pattern saved settings. This messes up all my hard work and catches me out really badly. Is there anyway of stopping this from happening?

If I play about with the Nord, the only way laborious way I can actually stop it is go to the controller value page and switch the mapping off to show ‘X’.

I would love to know how to fix this.

Have you checked if there is a change if the Prog Ch Send or the Transport Send are enabled in the MIDI Sync settings? Maybe there’s a change when they are off?

Sorry, if I can just guess here since I don’t have the 3P.

You mean that you edit some parameters on the ND3P itself, then stop the Digitakt, and when restarting it, values are reset?

I think the issue is that the Digitakt sends all its current active CC values out to connected devices when the sequencer starts. If you have changed any sounds on the Nord using its own user interface, those will all get messed up when it receives that data. All I want to do is stop the Digitakt sending out that intial push of controller data.

I don’t think there is any way round it. Disabling each controller is the only way I have managed to stop it.

I never tried that, but would connecting the ND3P MIDI out to the Digitakt MIDI in work? I guess one would have to enable the right MIDI channels for the tracks on the Digitakt, at least.

I have no idea whether the ND3P sends MIDI CC data from its interface…
