Digi* saving workflow?

Hi,
Can you enlighten me about “saving your work” stratagies?

Is saving the project every now and then the way to do it?

Im asking as saving the project seems like a intense process (re-writes the EPROM for all the parts of the project?). I dont know the hardware details of the digitone for example, Im just truing to understand if Im working the optimal way.

Thanks

You press Save. That’s it  your project is then saved.

Helps to make saving your pattern every now and then a habit, since you have limited redo’s as well.

“Save” as in save pattern to temp? Im not an elektron expert :s

FUNC+ YES is your save to temp
FUNC+NO is your reload

So, Func+Yes… turn a bunch of knobs, make weird sounds, get freaky with the Control All get scared by the sounds and Func+No takes you back to your temp save point.

Saving the Project is a more involved process and takes you out of the flow state.

Not so involved, FUNC + gear icon -> YES is pretty straightforward and unlike the OT it doesn’t stop playing. I do it all the time after getting a crash on my first Elektron box which reverted a lot of changes somehow.

FUNC+GEAR icon to save project , i didn’t made a digitone backup since i had one (6 years ) . i guess Elektron stuff is pretty reliable. but i 'm glad i did it , in case i erase a pattern i can always go back

…never get confused by the ot saving procedure…that’s a toally different planet than the digis…

don’t worry and just do as @ViolentMeals said…

and it never hurts to make it a habit, whenever ur having a little break and ur happy with what u got so far, do a quick save project procedure…

then ur always on the safe side…at least with synth based devices…
with sample based devices, saving single samples from time to time also, makes it all xtra safe…

Hah! I was, in fact, thinking of the OT save procedure. Thanks for calling me out on that.

thank you all
