I have bought a Digitakt (and will a Digitone) but the box I’ve got is a brown cardboard box.
Isn’t supposed to be turquoise and orange?
If not, and they’ve changed it, is it possible to get the coloured ones somehow?
They would look nice on the shelf, I know it’s a stupid need of mine but whatever…

I have the Digitakt, Digitone, and Syntakt and they all came in a brown cardboard box with a black print on.

It’s probably a cost cut for Elektron I could understand

the blue/orange boxes are the older design. brown ones with the black artwork are the latest.

Brown boxes on the Digi’s is new in the last year or two.
Where do you live?
If you happen to live in Berlin, I can exchange my blue digitakt box with your brown one
Both my Digitone and Octatrack have the brown one which I prefer much more. (Even tho I don’t really care much about the box), but if that can make you feel better

IIRC this design change happened around the time the Model Samples and/or Digitone Keys came out.
I like it, personally. Reminds me of the OG MD and MM packaging.

Sweet. Now in a few years when I sell my DT and DN I can advertise it coming with “original vintage color box”

Doh. I sold them with these vintage boxes…
Fuck that just make a “handmade shipping box store” on etsy. You’ll make a killing.

I wonder if we will ever see a cosmetic revision of Digitakt and Digitone with a white screen and no brand logo on the faceplate, to bring it in line with Syntakt
