Why can’t you buy an Octatrack anymore? I mean, seriously, they’ve been back-ordered everywhere for months. I read elsewhere on this forum that someone has been waiting since January to receive his. No online retailers that I’ve contacted have any concrete idea when they’ll be getting more.
Has Elektron stopped making them?

The official unofficial story is there was a manufacturing mess up… Now they are starting to ship again, but it’s suuuuupppperrrrr slow… Mine just shipped yesterday, and I was fortunate enough to be first on the list… As the retailer only got 1… But it took 2 months of waiting… Hopefully in the next few months they catch back up, but for the time being shit is grim…

Also they told AR will be available around the 15/20th May.

Actually, some companies will get delivery papers from their forwarder in advance. They’ll scan the tracking barcode once your order is prepared and send it to you, while your parcel is waiting for pickup in their warehouses…
The thing is, sometimes the next pickup is three days from now…

Oh shit…I was way influenced by seeing the stuff he was doing with the Monome and Launchpad a couple years back. I’ll be eager to see what he turns out.
I just placed an order with Sweetwater last night. I got a call this morning, that even though the page says out of stock, they had one/some in-stock. Not sure if I just got lucky on timing, but I just got a shipment notification a few minutes ago.
Looks like they are slowly making their way back in stock.

Out of curiosity, which “Sales Engineer” have you been dealing with?
I ordered an Octatrack from Sweetwater a month ago and it still hasn’t shipped! Maybe I’ve been dealing with the wrong dude…
Its because they suck and are being outsold by the A4 and AR by a factor of 10…
