Detune, Fine Tune, Same?

I would like to understand a little more technically the fine tune function and detune. I know that the fine tune changes the pitch in 0.10 and the detune changes the frequencies. But is not that the same? By changing the pitch we also change the frequency not?

Can anyone enlighten me on that?

ps : I read manual & just say :eyeglasses:

DET (OSC1 Linear Detune) offsets the frequency of the oscillator by a certain number of hertz (unlike FIN, which adjusts the pitch in cents). This unique feature gives more detune in the bass notes, and allows for a different kind of chorus-like detune that reminds of very old and big analog synthesizers.

Can anyone enlighten me on that?

Cheers !

fine tune is a musically relative adjustment, whereas detune is a constant, linear value. In lower octaves especially, detune will provide finer resolution of pitch than cents

does this mean that detune moves the pitch in 1/10 of a semitone? is that enough to study the beats you get with phasing effects?

I think detune is a hz offset which does not scale across the octaves in the same way that fine tune does
